Chapter 3

In what ways is our society different from Jonas' society? - CL

Are there any advantages to Jonas' society? Would you like to live there? -CL

What happened with the apple? Why do you think this is important? -CL

This book is a little weird, because it has things that are extremely strange, for example the way they have a child; but it is also interesting and exciting. I can't wait to continue reading this book to find out what happens to the baby and Jonas because they have one thing in common: their eyes, and also what the apple might represent. -LR

I think that it was strange when they called the "comfort object" "Hippo", because we know that "hippos" are real and they exist in our world but not in theirs. -LR

Jonas hoarded the apple because he saw it change colors. Then they told all the people that Jonas hoarded the apple over the loudspeaker. - JC

I think it is a bad idea to tell about your life over the loudspeaker because you don't need to have other people know every wrong thing you do. - JC
